Behind Fragold Connect GmbH and thus behind the ZukunftsForum Edelmetalle are two experienced and committed specialists who have each been at home in the world of precious metals for decades:
Wolfgang Wrzesniok-Roßbach
He has held leading positions in the precious metals sector for over 38 years. He began his career in precious metals trading at Dresdner Bank AG. Here he worked in proprietary trading, but also looked after precious metal processors, industrial companies that use precious metals, investors and central banks. He spent part of his career in the precious metals trading departments of Dresdner Bank in Singapore and Sydney. Under his leadership, Dresdner Bank also began trading non-ferrous metals and energy commodities for industrial clients.
From 2000 to 2005, Wrzesniok-Roßbach wrote a weekly column on the precious metals market for the Financial Times Deutschland.
In the mid-2000s, Wrzesniok-Roßbach moved to the Hanau-based precious metals group Heraeus, where he was head of customer service in precious metals trading and primarily looked after industrial companies, banks and precious metals dealers.
From 2011 to 2019, he built up Degussa Goldhandel GmbH for the von Finck family of investors. Under his aegis, the then newly founded company quickly became by far the largest physical trader of investment precious metals in Europe with branches in numerous German cities and subsidiaries in Switzerland, England, Spain and Singapore.
Wrzesniok-Roßbach has been working as a management consultant with his company Fragold GmbH since 2019. Since then, he has advised a number of domestic and foreign clients from the precious metal processing, banking, retail and industrial sectors, primarily on strategic issues.
