In a few weeks' time, Frankfurt will once again be the meeting place for decision-makers, market participants and experts from the world of precious metals. With the FutureForum Precious Metals 2026, we are creating a framework in which investment, industry, trade and politics can engage in a structured and fact-based discussion.

Our claim is clear: more than \u201ejust\u201c buzzwords, but substance instead. That is why we have put together a programme that highlights market analyses, strategic perspectives and industrial policy issues in equal measure - with voices from central banks, international organizations, industry, asset management and academia.

The first day of the conference will focus on \u201eInvestment + Markets\u201c. After the opening by Wolfgang Wrzesniok-Ro\u00dfbach, Ruth Crowell, CEO of the London Bullion Market Association, will give an overview of the situation in international precious metals trading. This will be followed by a macroeconomic assessment by J\u00fcrgen Michels, Chief Economist at BayernLB, and a capital market perspective by Philipp Vorndran, Partner at Flossbach von Storch. John Reade from the World Gold Council analyzes the current situation on the gold market.<\/strong>

In the afternoon, the focus will be on specific investment issues: Dierk Schaffer (Boerse Stuttgart Commodities) will discuss \u201eGold on paper - an alternative?\u201c, Constantin Prinz zu Salm-Salm will shed light on the tangible asset forest in the context of gold, and a panel discussion will be dedicated to institutional investment decisions. Dr. Karsten Stromborn (Deutsche Bundesbank) will give the audience an insight into the financial markets and gold from a central bank perspective. The second day will focus on the industry, raw materials policy and structural issues for the future. York A. Tetzlaff (Fachvereinigung Edelmetalle) will open with a status report on the industry in Germany and Europe. In the session on raw materials strategy, Stefan M\u00fcller (DGWA) will discuss the German perspective, Erik Kirschbaum (Los Angeles Times \/ WELT) will look at the USA and Dr. Christoph Hein (FAZ PRO Weltwirtschaft) will discuss developments in China.<\/strong><\/p>

Mining, recycling and industrial applications will take center stage. Peter Tallmann (Klondike Gold Corp.) will talk about exploration potential, while the panel discussion will shed light on recycling as a strategic resource. Tim Schwerdtfeger (Volkswagen AG) will explain the management of precious metal risks in the industry, Joachim D\u00fcnkelmann will analyze the situation of the jewelry industry under high volatility, and Hans-Werner Grunow (Capmarcon) will classify ESG requirements. International perspectives are also represented: With Claire Lincoln, Global Head of Institutional Investor, the World Gold Council is contributing an institutional market perspective. The optional preliminary program begins on Sunday, 22 March, with two excursions: a tour of the Fortuna visitor mine in Obersolms or, alternatively, a visit to the Tradium storage bunker for strategic and precious metals.
